The Art of Zoom

If you’re reading this on a mobile device, we know that space is cramped! Especially if you’re running SynthStamp as a plugin inside of your DAW. To help with this we added a custom internal zoom/scroll control that we’ve also extended to iPad.

Enabling Scroll/Zoom

Zoom/scroll is always enabled for iPhone and iPad mini. You can manually enable scroll on iPad through the internal Settings page (tap the gear icon on the left).

Using Scroll/Zoom

The scroll/zoom control is made up of two parts: (1) a vertical zoom slider, and (2) a scroll box with joystick behavior that you can use to scroll up, down, left, or right.

Set your desired zoom level, and then use the scroll box to focus on different areas of a synth. For patching across long distances, tap a connector with one thumb and use the scroll box to drag and release over another connector, similar to video game mechanics. On iPhone, the scroll/zoom control will shift depending on which side the notch is on to minimize overlap with synths.
